Swimming, Playing in the Park and Some Laughing

Let me first apologize for my dad and the lack of updates.  He recently upgraded digital cameras and he has had a devil of a time getting all of the settings correct.  This technology stuff is not his strong suit.

Anyway, the first couple of photos were taken at the local Community Center, where I am taking a toddler swimming class.  I am enjoying the class very much.  The second batch of photos is of my parents most recent find, a local park that has all kinds of climbing apparatus and slides that are geared towards my age group.  I really enjoy going down the slide and running around the park.

Lastly, a few videos of me.  The first is my mom and I playing.  I just can’t get enough of her leg going over my head.  The  second video is me realizing I’m on camera.  I stop whatever I might be doing and become fixated on that wonderful lens!  Lastly, a video of me getting the hang of feeding myself.  Those spoons are mighty tricky!

A Host of New Funny Videos

OK, I have an update of three videos that should bring a nice chuckle to your day.  I’m always in the mood to entertain and there is not a day that goes by that I do not put a smile on my parents face with some new antic.  Here are some of my latest accomplishments…

1.  When I was very young, maybe 4-6 months old, my dad’s good friend Dr Paul Ufberg came by with his wife Jordy and their three children Jack, Ella and Charley.  When Dr Paul was down here, I observed his habit of walking around while talking on his phone.  This is my best impression of him, using my Mom’s phone.

2.  Recently, I have tried to move away from these childish sippy cups.  I’m still learning, but Mom is giving me tiny sips of water from a glass.  Yes, I know I knock my teeth against the glass.  Yes, I know I stick my tongue into the water.  Yes, I know most of it dribbles down my shirt.  Deal with it!

3.  Lastly, my walking has really improved.  Gone are the days of Frankenstein arms to balance.  That was so last week.  Now, I’ve moved on to climbing stairs.  I’m well aware that each stair reach’s my waist, but that has not stopped me from walking up the stairs one step at a time, with a little help from Dad.

Some new videos for a new year…

It is a new year so I wanted to add some new videos of some accomplishments…

A video of my first tentative steps.  Not running the Boston Marathon yet, but soon.

Here I am using a kitchen chair to act as my “walker”.  Why my parents by these toys and gadgets to aid in my walking is beyond me, this works fine!

Last, but not least, the newest thing I learned is to avoid getting all that nasty soapy water in my face when Mom washes my hair.  Here is a video of my lean-back technique.

I can sit up without help or sit on pumpkins, not both.

So, two new developments in my life this week.  I have successfully been able to get from a lying down position to a sitting position without help.  I first accomplished this when my mom looked away.  I was on my back, she looked away and whammo, I was on my tush.  This, of course, threw her for a loop.  So, she whipped out the video camera and caught the second occurrence of this for you all to enjoy.  As you can tell, I was very exciting about this milestone.  I also did this one morning to surprise my mom.  She came in to my bedroom to check on me and, ta-da, I’m sitting up in my crib.

The second are some pictures taken by my Aunt Tricia picking pumpkins.

Johnny Jump Up, Clapping and Snoring

Sounds like the start of a bad joke, doesn’t it?  The video camera has been getting a work out lately.  I’m not sure if that is because dad has been lax with charging the DSLR batteries or what, but that darn black brick seems like it comes out all the time.  So here are the latest videos…

Video of me and my first time on the Johnny Jump Up that Aunt Trish gave me.  Excuse the bathroom shot, it is the only door way that has trim.

Video of me clapping and pulling my bib off, something I thoroughly enjoy doing as of late.

Last, but not least, Dad catching me snoring because my nose is clogged from a slight cold I caught.

    Some New Videos of Me

Dad took some new videos of me over the past few days.  The first is my new gizmo called an Exersaucer.  I really enjoy bouncing up and down and playing with all the various activities.  Note the flow of drool down my neck.

The second video is the one I’m most proud of.  I have recently learned that my hands are attached to my body.  It turns out, if I hit my hands together, it makes a great noise.  Also, everyone around me seems to get very happy when I hit my hands together.  So, for obvious reasons, I hit my hands together as much as possible.  Not because I like the sounds, but more because it seems everyone else enjoys it.

Home Early From Work, Photo Session Time

Dad came home a bit early from work today and I was in a particularly good mood.  So, out came the camera.  I’m now 6 months old.  I am able to stand with some help and I have really love clapping.

    Two New Videos of Me

First one is a few minutes before going out for the day.  I’ve had my four month birthday (yay, me) and I’m beginning to get much stronger.  I’m able to keep my head up for a much longer time.

This second video is of me rolling over.  I have been rolling over periodically for about 3 weeks, but I have only recently mastered the technique and now do it at will.  My mom is not happy with me sleeping on my stomach, but can she do?
